ABOUT PASTOR JAMES VIDEAU
Pastor James Edward Videau was born on March 29, 1993 in New Orleans, LA to Apostle Dr. Carter Videau and Pastor Trudy Scott Wallace Videau.
He grew up a peculiar and curious child, always being surrounded by church and various supernatural events. He accepted Christ and was baptized around 4 years old. In 1997, his father moved from Louisiana to Alabama to fulfill the vision God had for him. James, his mother and grandfather, Deacon Edward Wallace, would later join his father in Alabama.
Coming home from a youth revival, James received the call to preach the gospel at 10 years old. To the dismay of his parents, they allowed him to give his trial sermon which was titled, "The blessing in the storm." He would receive his license at 11 years old then he started his hiatus at 12 years old. He loved studying different religions, history, politics and english.
He would later graduate from East Lawrence High School in 2011 and attend the University of North Alabama, where he would join the music fraternity, Alpha Mu Lambda. During this time, James left the faith after his enrollment in a philosophy class and his discouragement with the church in their handling of death of Trayvon Martin. He would end up becoming an agnostic who dove into Pan-African thought which would later evolve into practicing Black Hebrew Israelism.
He would later return home in 2014 and transfer to Northwest-Shoals Community College and graduate with an associate’s in design engineering technology (Drafting). He started preaching again at the age of 21. He came to a spiritual crossroads with what he believed and dedicated 2 years to personal biblical studies. He would recant Black Hebrew Israelism and rededicate his life to Jesus Christ in early 2017 and dedicate his life to apologetics (specifically in the urban context). In April 2017, he would not only be licensed to preach the gospel he was ordained as the Youth Pastor of Victory Church at 23 years old.
His "ministerial debut" (if you will) to the community as a whole occurred on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at Decatur City Hall for the Revival organized in memoriam for Steven Clay Perkins who was gunned down unjustly and by law enforcement. Pastor Videau would preach hope, clarity and lead 1000 to 1500 people to repentance and or rededication. Pastor Videau would be activated in the Apostolic office by the late Apostle Dr. Edmond James of Huntsville, AL and was activated in the Prophetic office by Apostle Kirklin Cross Jr. of Cleburne, TX and Apostle John David Harris III of Huntsville, AL.
Pastor James Videau is a loving and dedicated father to his son: Joshua Isaiah Videau. He serves as one of the assistant pastors of Victory Church under the leadership of Senior Pastor Eva Owens. He is the CEO of J.E. Videau Enterprises which encompasses several businesses and nonprofits. He is a podcast host and a published author. He also sits on the National Advisory Board for Brotherhood Development and Wellness for Alpha Mu Lambda.
